前几天在MYspace上闲逛的时候听到的，本来只是放在播放器里听听而已，但是越听就越有味道，也越来越喜欢主唱Ben Burnley的曲风，我特别喜欢Until the end里的歌词——“Why give up? Why give in?It's not enough, it never isSo I will go on until the endWe've become, desolateIt's not enough, it never isBut I will go on until the end”，这是Until the end里的副歌歌词，配合着音乐，感觉很好。另外一首喜欢的是The Diary Of Jane，虽然只是平平淡淡的摇滚歌曲，但是我觉得他的嗓子里、骨子里透出了一种很特别的金属风格。经过了解，Breaking Benjamin受到了不少顶级乐队的影响，同时，他们也影响了不少明星。。这么有生命力的乐队，为什么不把他们放到BLOG上呢！
乐队简介
2000年末，吉他手Aaron Fink和贝斯手Mark James Klepaski令人意外的离开了当时已经小有名气的Lifer乐队。在离开Lifer不久之后，Aaron Fink和Mark James Klepaski就和主唱Ben Burnley和鼓手Jeremy Hummel成立了Breaking Benjamin乐队。那么，Fink和Klepaski当初究竟为何会离开一支与Universal有合约在身的乐队而选择另组一支新乐队重新开始奋斗呢？据两人后来称，他们对主唱Ben Burnley的创作能力非常有信心，因此愿意孤注一掷，重新一博。就这样，四人阵容的Breaking Benjamin在2000年末诞生了，Ben Burnley任主唱和节奏吉他手，Aaron Fink负责主音吉他，Mark James Klepaski和Jeremy Hummel分别担任贝斯手和鼓手。其实，Breaking Benjamin并不是Aaron Fink与Ben Burnley的首次合作，早在中学时期Fink就认识Burnley。此外，Breaking Benjamin的四位成员之所以关系非常融洽或许是因为他们都来自于宾夕法尼亚州东北部的小城Wilkes-Barre。Breaking Benjamin开始在Wilkes-Barre附近演出的时候选择了与Lifer不同的音乐路线，乐队强有力且不失旋律化的音乐风格颇受当地电台听众的欢迎。Breaking Benjamin称他们的音乐受到过Live，Bush，珍珠果酱（Pearl Jam），石庙向导（Stone Temple Pilots），涅磐（Nirvana），科恩（Korn）和工具（Tool）等乐队的影响，而主唱Ben Burnley更是举例说他在14岁的时候就是反复听着Nirvana 1991年的专辑《Nevermind》来自学吉他的。
2001年，Breaking Benjamin在Wilkes-Barre的演出吸引了当地摇滚电台DJ弗雷迪·法布里（Freddie Fabbri）的的注意。作为当地另类摇滚电台WBSX-FM的DJ，Freddie Fabbri将Breaking Benjamin的歌曲《Polyamorous》放到了WBSX-FM电台中播放。另外，非常欣赏Breaking Benjamin的Freddie Fabbri还为乐队筹措资金用来帮助他们发行首张同名EP专辑。2001年，Breaking Benjamin的同名EP在家乡Wilkes-Barre以及附近地区共卖出2000张
